Terms of Service

Last updated: 1 May 2026

Acceptance

By accessing or using Sterawatt, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. We may update these terms; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

The service

Sterawatt provides energy transition intelligence — data, analysis, and tools — for informational purposes. The content is not investment advice, financial advice, or professional consulting of any kind. You are responsible for how you use the information we provide.

Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials. Notify us immediately at security@sterawatt.com if you believe your account has been compromised. We reserve the right to suspend or close accounts that violate these terms.

Acceptable use

You may not:

  • Use the service to scrape, systematically download, or redistribute our content at scale
  • Attempt to circumvent access controls, authentication, or rate limits
  • Use automated means to access the service beyond normal browsing
  • Share account credentials with third parties
  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose

Intellectual property

All content on Sterawatt — including analysis, data visualisations, and written material — is owned by Sterawatt or its licensors. You may quote brief excerpts with attribution. You may not republish, resell, or systematically reproduce our content without written permission.

Underlying data sourced from third parties (IEA, SEC filings, etc.) remains subject to those sources' own terms.

Subscriptions and payments

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual cycle. You may cancel at any time; your access continues until the end of the current billing period. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial periods, except where required by law.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is". We make no warranties about the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the information we provide. Energy markets, corporate data, and government statistics change rapidly; we aim to keep data current but cannot guarantee it is complete at any given moment.

We are not liable for any decisions made on the basis of our analysis. Energy investment decisions should involve appropriate professional advice.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sterawatt's liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
